Day 5 - Saturday 7th December

A day with Bermondsey Street Bees at their regeneratively managed farm in Essex

Small and specialist, Bermondsey Street Bees is a multi-award-winning sustainable beekeeping practice co-founded by Dale Gibson and Sarah Wyndham Lewis. Supplying many of London’s finest restaurants and hotels with raw, artisanally- produced honeys, they live and work on 4 acres of land near Maldon in Essex. They manage their land organically and regeneratively, both for their bees and to support wider biodiversity.

The visit, which is for six people and includes a light lunch,  offers hands-on experiences at the hives and in the honey production space as well as walks through the extensive kitchen gardens, wild areas and pollinator plantings.

Sarah is also the UK’s best known Honey Sommelier, with a library of more than 300 global varietals,  and the day finishes with a tutored honey tasting including some rare delights from Bees Abroad projects.
